About Fred
Fred Tomlin has been making tables since the early 1970's. His tables can be found from the shoreline of Fisherman's Wharf to central Texas, Michigan and Florida. Before Fred started his table business, he was a commercial fisherman, fishing crabs, salmon, albacore and abalone. He was the successful owner of Fred's Finishing in McKinleyvile, Ca for 30 years where he put his talents towards finishing bar tops, tables, new home moldings, trims and other fine finishing. When he retired in 2008 and moved to Arizona he again began making burl tables.
He currently works out of his Cottonwood Arizona studio

Fred's Creative Wood provides quality work reasonably priced and unique. We specialize in coffee tables, sofa tables,and side tables , but we also make dining tables and bistro tables. Our tables are made from California Redwood Burls and Horse Chestnut Buckeye Burls found in the Sierra Foothills in California, and also Maple, Olive and Juniper. Our bases are all natural consisting of mesquite, ironwood, juniper, citrus and some unknown.
